What this site does and does not collect, in plain terms.
wingjay operates the website at wingjay.com and provides free browser-based file and text tools. For privacy questions or requests, contact privacy@wingjay.com.
This is the central point and it is worth being exact about. Every tool on this site — image compression, resizing, passport photos, PDF merging and splitting, QR generation, text tools — runs entirely inside your browser using standard web technologies.
When you drop a file into a tool, the file is read into your browser's memory, processed by code running on your own device, and the result is saved directly to your device. At no point is the file transmitted over the network. We therefore never receive, store, see or process the contents of your files, and we could not produce them if asked to.
Closing or reloading the tab discards everything. Nothing is written to storage, and there is no history to clear.
Our hosting provider records standard technical information when a page is requested: IP address, browser type and version, the page requested, referring page, and timestamp. This is normal web server operation, is used for security and troubleshooting, and is retained for a limited period.
We use analytics to understand which tools are used and where the site is slow or broken. This records page views, approximate location at country or city level, device type and browser. It does not identify you personally and does not track you across other websites.
This site displays advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads and measure their performance.

Some pages load libraries from a content delivery network — the QR code generator and the PDF tools do this. Requesting a file from a CDN reveals your IP address to that provider, as any web request does. These libraries run in your browser and do not transmit your files anywhere. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts on the same basis.
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, the GDPR applies. Our legal basis for processing server logs and analytics is legitimate interest in operating and securing the site; for advertising cookies it is your consent, given through the cookie notice.
You have the right to request access to any personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to object to or restrict processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. In practice we hold very little: there are no accounts, and file contents are never received. Requests go to privacy@wingjay.com.
You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
The site is served over HTTPS. Because your files never leave your device, the largest category of risk in a file-processing service simply does not exist here. Server logs and analytics may be processed on servers outside your country, including in the United States, under appropriate safeguards.
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted here with a new date at the top. Continued use of the site after a change indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
